Mr Griffiths holds a substantive Consultant appointment at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and an honorary contract at Walsall Manor Hospitals NHS Trust.

After graduating from Bristol University in 1993 he worked in various surgical disciplines before pursuing a career in ENT surgery. He undertook higher specialist training in the West Midlands, passing his fellowship exam in 2004. His name was added to the specialist register in 2006.

During his training Mr Griffiths had the opportunity to pursue specific areas of ENT, in particular head and neck surgery, thyroid surgery and voice work or laryngology. He has travelled to European and American centres to observe some of the most advanced work in these fields.

As well as his clinical interests Mr Griffiths has undertaken a postgraduate degree in medical law at Glasgow University and published research papers in medical journals.
