Mr Constantine has worked at Good Hope and Little Aston for the last 18 years and also see patients in Tamworth and Lichfield. He is happy to see patients with a wide range of gynaecological problems and has the experience and expertise to perform ultrasound scans in the clinic so that a rapid diagnosis and plan of action can be made. Whilst Mr Constantine has wide experience, his special interests include treatment of troublesome periods and particularly women with bladder problems, incontinence and prolapse. Mr Constantine has seen many women with these embarrassing problems and it is rewarding to be able to offer investigations and appropriate treatment which can make a real difference to a woman's lifestyle. Surgery is not always appropriate but he has been instrumental in introducing new techniques, particularly the TVT/TOT (tension free vaginal tape) approach to treating stress incontinence and more advanced procedures to treat prolapse. The TVT involves an overnight stay and quick recovery with results that compare favourably with more complex operations. He has performed over 2000 of these and the audited results are available on his website. Mr Constantine has presented these results at international meetings and has trained many other consultants in these techniques.
Since 2005 Mr Constantine has been travelling to Kamuli in Uganda twice a year to operate on women with obstetric fistulae. This has been a very different, rewarding and challenging experience and one which he hopes to continue into the future
