Miss Marie Tsaloumas is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at University Hospital and the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre.
She graduated from the Medical School of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and then trained in ophthalmology in Birmingham on the West Midlands rotation. She has completed a fellowship rotation at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London in diabetic retinopathy and has a sub specialty interest in medical retina disorders.
Her particular clinical interests are diabetic retinopathy, cataract surgery in diabetics and macular degeneration.
