Dr Sharma is a consultant in psychiatry based in the West Midlands.He specialises in Mental Health Disorders in the elderly although has extensive experience of working with working age adults (General Adult Psychiatry) as well.
He is experienced in assessing memory problems comprehensively and in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and difficult behaviours associated with it and other dementias. He also has a special interest in treatment resistant anxiety and depressive illness. He is able to assess and refer on to clinical psychology for further specialist psychological interventions while overseeing the progress of patients. He is able to provide medico-legal reports where appropriate.
Dr Sharma is known for his excellent 'bed side' manners and a professional relaxed approach for which he has received commendations from patients and relatives.
Dr Sharma has two school going children who keep him on his feet after a busy days work, but he is not complaining. He manages to snatch time in between errands to read.
