HIV Medicine
Dr Joseph is a consultant physician treating patients with sexually acquired infections which include chalmydia, genital warts, herpes, gonorrhoea, HIV infection testicular pain and persistent vaginal discharge.
Treating HIV infected patients is one of his interests. He also specialise's in treating patients with skin conditions which affect the genital organs.Dr Joseph treats women who have abnormalities of the cervix (neck of the womb) who have abnormal cervical smears. He treat's men and women with sexual difficulties which include erection problems and quick ejaculation in men.
Although he obtained his primary qualification in Sri-Lanka, He is now a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, accredited in genitourinary medicine and Colposcopy and a Fellow of the Faculty of Sexual & reproductive Health. His last 10 years of training were based in Birmingham and Bristol.
Dr Joseph is married to a Finance Director, and has two children, youngest of who is a newly qualified doctor. He play's cricket and is a passionate follower of test cricket and believes that England should retain the Ashes. Dr Joseph supports Aston Villa Football Club.
