Spire Little Aston Main Sponsors of Golf Charity Event

July 2010

Spire Little Aston Hospital were pleased to be the main sponsors of the SecondCity 44th charity golf classic at Little Aston Golf Club on the 14th July 2010 which was held to support The Arthritis Research Campaign and Norman Laud.

It is the most prestigious charity golf event in the Midlands and there were 41 teams competing this year.

The winning team was one of the Spire Little Aston’s teams, “The Three Spires”, which consisted of  Dr Ope Manocha, a local GP, Craig Swinburn, a professional golfer, Dr Lynne Sheldrake, a local GP and Mr Mike Moloney, one of the hospital’s Consultants.

Events like this help with Little Aston’s aim of working with the local community and businesses whenever possible.  On the day the hospital was offering blood checks with their nurse and balance tests with their physiotherapists, to illustrate some of the services Little Aston can offer patients in the local area.
