Ms Anwar has been a Consultant Opthalmologist in Leicester since 2003. Her aim is to provide a high standard of care to patients and families and support for other health professionals looking after affected individuals.
Ms Anwar completed her medical school training at Charing Cross and Westminster Hospitals and her Resident training in London, Cambridge and the West Of Scotland. Ms Anwar undertook her Specialist Fellowship training in Melbourne, Australia and completed an MSc at the Institute of Ophthalmology, London.
Ms Anwar offers Paediatric Ophthalmology assessments for all visual disorders in children from 0-16 years including squints, lazy eye, lid disease, eye inflammation, congenital cataract and ocular genetic disorders. Ms Anwar also provides neuro-ophthalmology assessment and management including visual disorders secondary to neurological injury, trauma and disease as well as squints and optic neuropathy.
When not at work Ms Anwar enjoys spending time with her family and is a keen badminton player.
