Mr Terry was appointed in 1990 as a Consultant Urological Surgeon and is now currently Senior Urologist at UHL NHS Trust. He is a recent  Past Secretary and Trustee of BAUS. He is a national expert in penile prosthetic surgery for erectile dysfunction , urinary incontinence including implantation of slings and artificial urinary sphincters in men, Peyronie's Disease Syndrome and penile surgery including cancer

Mr Terry has a major interest in incontinence in women and uses Botox injections for neuropathic and overactive bladders. He offers various tape procedures and salvage operations for recurrent incontinence and surgical correction of urethral diverticula and vesico-vaginal fistula. He continues to provide a service in general urology .

He provides  about 20 medico-legal reports annually for both prosecution and defense.

He has 22 years of experience as a consultant in general urology and maintains his knowledge base through participating in national and international meetings annually. He has published extensively with over 70 papers in both general and specialty urology.

His general urology interests relate to lower urinary tract symptoms in adults and he offers dedicated diagnostic sessions with urodynamics, flexible cystoscopy, transrectal ultrasound and biopsy under topical anaesthesia. He offers transurethral resection of benign prostate enlargement and bladder tumours and lower ureteric endoscopy.

His specialty areas relate mainly to erectile and sexual dysfunction and incontinence in both men and women. He is nationally renowned as a genito-urinary reconstructive surgeon.
