Professional profile:
Mr Teo graduated from Bristol University in 1982 and completed his specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Leicester. During his training, he became interested in female urinary and prolapse problems and developed his expertise in this area by undertaking a 3-year subspecialty training programme in Urogynaecology at Leicester General Hospital. During this time he was actively involved in clinical research involving the evaluation of new diagnostic tests and surgical treatments for prolapse and incontinence. He was appointed Consultant in Gynaecology at Leicester Royal Infirmary in 2007. Mr Teo has extensive experience in the management of a wide range of urinary and prolapse problems and offers the latest surgical treatments for those conditions (TVT, transobturator tapes, prolapse repairs using mesh). He is also experienced in the management of general gynaecological problems (menstrual problems, pelvic pain, benign ovarian conditions) and offers a range of standard gynaecological procedures and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for certain conditions. Mr Teo's approach to care involves tailoring it to address individual needs and providing the most up-to-date and effective treatments.
Personal profile:
Mr Teo is married to Fiona, a lawyer, and they have 3 young children. He enjoys all aspects of family life and most of his spare time is spent with them. He enjoys food, film and all sport and has recently taken up karate with his eldest son.
