Mr Power has been a consultant in Leicester since 1995 and in that time has built up a practice that is increasingly devoted to surgery of the hip, performing standard joint replacements, hip resurfacing, the management of failed hip replacements and soft tissue injuries around the hip.He still maintains his interest in other general adult orthopaedic surgery, particularly degenerative problems of the knee, undertaking arthroscopic and knee surgery and has performed in excess of 4000 hip and knee replacements during his career to date.Mr Power's orthopaedic training was based in London with a year being spent at Harvard University in the USA and another year in Perth, Western Australia. Mr Power is actively involved in fundraising and in medical politics in Leicester.
