Mr Fussey qualified in 1983, and was appointed to the Department of Medical Psychology based at the Leicester General Hospital, although covering the combined hospitals of Leicestershire. Subsequently he was appointed as Consultant Psycholgist to St Andrews Hospital, Northampton, before returning to Leicester to take up an appointment in the Medical Psychology Department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
