I trained initially at University of Leicester Medical School before completing my training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in East Anglia. I spent two years in London undertaking research in ectopic pregnancy and miscarriages and now travel lecturing on this topic.

My research forms the basis of the national guidelines in this area. I then went on to train in reproductive medicine which covers infertility (male and female), endocrinology (hormones), recurrent pregnancy loss, paediatric gynaecology, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery for two years at St Marys Hospital in Manchester.

An experienced consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of Leicester, I currently specialise in infertility, assisted conception, reproductive endocrinology (hormone problems), early pregnancy loss and recurrent miscarriage, paediatric/adolescent gynaecology and management of fibroids and endometrial polyps.

I am a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology Recurrent Pregnancy Guidelines Group and Medical Advisor to the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.
