Dr Wiesender trained at Freie University Berlin, Germany in 1988. For her postgraduate training she did specialist training for Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the Trent region and eighteen months in the department of Foetal/Maternal Medicine in Wellington/New Zealand.
Dr Wiesender obtained a Diploma in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound and trained in Gynaecological Ultrasound.
Following this she was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2002, taking the lead for the delivery suite and directorate lead for guidelines and audit together with multidisciplinary chronic pelvic pain clinic.
