Dr Aravindan is an experienced gynaecolgist who has joined our team at the Spire Leicester Hospital. She is the lead gynaecologist for emergencies at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. She qualified in 1992 and commenced training as a general surgeon before coming into Obstetrics and Gynaecology and qualified as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1997. Her specialist training includes Obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound, colposcopy, family planning and hormone replacement therapy among menstrual disorders, early pregnancy care, recurrent miscarriage, pelvic floor repair and psychosexual counselling.
Having completed the specialist training at the Birmingham Women's Hospital she was appointed consultant gynaecologist at the Leicester Royal Infirmary in 2004.
Dr Aravindan provides out patient clinic services with Gynaecology and early pregnancy ultrasound scanning, inpatient gynaecological day procedures and major surgeries.
