I see both children and adults patients requiring intervention for the management of amblyopia (lazy eye), squint - including eye muscle palsies, muscle weakness, eye strain and double vision. I am on the approved lists of major insurance providers including Bupa for the provision of orthoptic services.
I gained my professional qualification as an Orthoptist in 1996 and have worked at major NHS Teaching Hospitals including Kings College, London, Leicester and Nottingham and Saudi Arabia's prestigious Eye Hospital.
I began my research with the University of Leicester, where I was recently was awarded my PhD. I have published several peer-reviewed research papers related to amblyopia working very closely with my peers. My PhD research was one of the first few to have published evidenced based research for the treatment of ambyopia (lazy eye).
I enjoy research and continue to take an interest attending Ophthalmology and Orthoptic Symposia to ensure I keep up to date with current knowledge and changes in practice.
I believe in providing high standards of care to both children and adults and realise the importance of having a compassionate approach.
I enjoy time with my family and my child. I have attempted sports such as scuba diving and tandem skydiving. I enjoy reading and am fond of JRR Tolkein's contribution to literature.
