My practice is centred around the early diagnosis of the causes of abdominal pain, liver disease, gastrointestinal disease as well as gynaecological disease, bleeding or masses. I believe that the early and accurate diagnosis of any disease or tumour is key to helping achieve the best outcome for patients.
I commenced my radiology training in 1987 and worked at St Mary’s Paddington and at the Western Infirmary Glasgow and have been based in Leicester as a consultant radiologist since 2000.
I have a particular interest in modernising imaging techniques such as CT of the colon, most recently utilising faecal tagging to improve the quality of the radiology service that I offer. I work very closely with a great team of Surgeons, Oncologists , Gynaecologists and Gastroenterologists and I am directly involved in the management and after care of patients.
I am the Consultant Radiologist for the One Stop Abdominal Pain Clinic at Spire Leicester Hospital.
I have been married for more than 20 years and have two daughters; the eldest is a teacher and my younger daughter works in the pharmaceutical sciences industry.
To relax, I love cycling as it clears my mind of daily stress and has the added benefit of keeping me fit!
