I am a Consultant Urologist at Spire Leeds Hospital and Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. I have a specialist interest in pelvic oncology and my post has given me the opportunity to focus on diseases of the prostate gland, specifically prostate cancer.
Following a European fellowship to train in robotic surgery in Sweden (2007), I developed the robotic radical prostatectomy programme in Leeds, which is now one of the most experienced in the UK.
Following my PhD studies, I have been actively involved in clinical and laboratory research and education. I currently sit on the Prostate Cancer UK Education Advisory Group and the organising committee of The Yorkshire Men's Health Forum.
