Mr Timothy Dabbs is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with a special interest in vitreoretinal surgery. He trained in Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham before being appointed as a consultant in 1990. Mr Dabbs has worked in Leeds ever since and was, for 10 years, Director of Special Surgical Services and Ophthalmology at St James University Hospital.

Mr Dabbs provides general ophthalmic services but has a special interest in the surgical treatment of retinal diseases and has pioneered the treatment of age related macular degeneration using anti-VEGF drugs at Spire Leeds Hospital.

Mr Dabbs also undertakes general ophthalmic surgical treatments such as cataract and the management of glaucoma and undertakes laser treatment for a variety of retinal diseases.

Mr Timothy Dabbs is a Yorkshireman by birth and has lived and worked in the Leeds area since 1990 with his wife and four children. When he has time Mr Dabbs is a keen walker, swimmer and cyclist, and with his family has greatly enjoyed exploring the delights of the Yorkshire countryside over the years.
