Professional profile:
Mr Richard Hutson graduated from the University of Leicester in 1985 and gained wide experience rotating through jobs in Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Yorkshire.

In September 1997 Mr Hutson gained his generalist CCST having completed his training in all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology. He then undertook a further four year period of subspecialty training in gynaecological oncology and gaining his subspecialty CCST in November 2001. During the latter four years Mr Hutson successfully completed his MD thesis on precursor lesions of ovarian cancer.

Mr Hutson is now fully trained in the management of all gynaecological malignancies and pre-malignant conditions (CIN/VAIN/VIN).

He is a registered colposcopist (3 years accreditation) with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Mr Hutson is the lead colposcopist for colposcopy in Leeds where he is also a consultant for gynaecological oncology in the Bexley Wing at St James' University Hospital, having taken up his post in 2001.
Personal profile:
Outside of medicine Mr Richard Hutson has a busy family life as he is married with three daughters. He also takes a keen interest in sport and enjoys playing cricket and squash and supporting Leeds United Football Club for whom his youngest daughter has played for the under 12 Academy.
