Virtual consultations:
I have special interests in meniscal repair, cartilage repair surgery using stem cells, ACL reconstruction, computer navigated knee replacement, partial knee replacement and management of knee osteoarthritis in young patients as well as patello-femoral reconstructions for recurrent dislocations.
I graduated in medicine from Madras, India in 1991 and then did a masters programme in orthopaedic surgery in Calcutta. I was awarded the presidents gold medal by the orthopaedic association.
I then did my higher surgical training in the UK on the Wessex rotation. During this period I trained extensively in knee surgery and knee replacements. I trained under many eminent knee surgeons and have visited many international surgeons to learn a wide variety of complex knee reconstruction procedures.
I have now been performing specialist knee surgery for more than 20 years and have trained numerous senior fellows who have now become successful consultants in many parts of the UK and overseas. I have developed a tertiary referral practice in complex knee reconstructions and computer navigated knee replacements.
