Mr Philip Turton is a consultant breast, oncoplastic and aesthetic breast surgeon. This is a highly specialised area and as such he has extensive experience as a specialist both in cosmetic breast surgery at Spire Hospital Leeds and as a reconstructive breast surgeon at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust where he has held a substantive post for over eight years.
He is an expert in breast augmentation and breast reduction and has performed over a thousand of these operations, never having to remove an implant due to rupture or infection in any of his patients. Breast augmentation and breast reduction surgery are his main areas of expertise and practice at Spire Hospital Leeds.
His expertise in oncoplastic breast surgery also includes breast reconstructions with tissue flaps, lipomodelling and implants, breast reductions, breast mastopexy, symmetrisation and breast augmentations.
Mr Turton qualified at the University of Leeds medical school in 1992 having trained in the major centres in Yorkshire and visited leading centres in the USA as part of a travelling fellowship. He has honours, distinctions and commendations from his undergraduate and post graduate exams. He has developed interests in all aspects of breast surgery and disease, both cosmetic, benign and malignant. He offers a truly comprehensive breast service and has a national reputation. He has a very large clinical practice but always maintains a patient focused, professional and empathic approach.
