Mr Nazzar Tellisi took up the post as a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at Leeds General Infirmary and as senior clinical lecturer at the University of Leeds in January 2011.He has gained a great deal of skill and experience in the management and surgical treatment of trauma and orthopaedic conditions during his career to date. Mr Tellisi has received advanced training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in the USA. As a clinical fellow within the foot and ankle service at the Hospital, Mr Tellisi's training was focused on adult reconstructive foot and ankle surgery with exposure to paediatric foot problems and complex foot and ankle trauma. Mr Tellisi spent an additional year in the limb lengthening and reconstruction service. His training covered adult reconstructive surgery, paediatric limb deformities, foot and ankle surgery with substantial exposure to ankle fusions and Charcot arthropathies.
