Background Information

Professional profile:

Having trained at St. James’s Hospital, Mr Merhaban Riyat qualified as an Audiologist in 1989. He was involved in diagnostic and rehabilitation of patients with hearing and balance disorders and with the modernisation of NHS Hearing Aid Services. Over the years Mr Riyat developed an interest in tinnitus counselling and management. He joined the audiology team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS in 2003 and was involved in assessments of adults with learning disabilities.

Mr Riyat is now practising privately with special interests in digital hearing aids with Bluetooth connectivity and hearing protection for musicians.
