I trained in Manchester and spent my first three years in the North-West. I moved to London to undertake a three year PhD project in bowel cancer. I undertook surgical training as a registrar in London and spent six months at St Mark's Hospital, specialising in colorectal surgery. I am competent in all aspects of bowel disorders.

I am married with four children, two gerbils and a (mad) dog. I play football regularly and enjoy cycling to work.
