Patients can walk away with a sculpted body in a matter of hours thanks to a sophisticated new liposuction technique available at Spire Leeds hospital.
The procedure, called Body Jet, is offered by Spire Leeds Hospital in Roundhay. It involves the surgeon making a small incision in the patient’s skin following a local anaesthetic. A thin tube, called a cannula, is then inserted, and through this, a jet of water is sprayed under the skin to loosen unwanted fat cells. These are then gently sucked away. The technique can be repeated on different areas of the body that need sculpting.
Body Jet offers a range of benefits over traditional liposuction. The patient, who can be awake during the procedure, may be able to view the results during the treatment and work with the surgeon to create the desired look. Because only a local anaesthetic is usually required, there is often no need for an overnight stay in hospital.
