Pre-Employment Checks

Applicants who are offered employment with Spire Healthcare will be required to successfully complete pre-employment checks.  These include, but are not limited to, employment references,criminal record checks, qualifications and registration verification and occupational health questionnaire

Disclosure

In order to provide greater protection to children and vulnerable adults (patients) the Home Office operates a system for employers who care for children or vulnerable adults to check the suitability of employees against police records and lists held by the Secretary of State. This system of checking is administered by the Criminal Records Bureau and the scheme is known as Disclosure. You can find out more about this scheme at the following web address: www.crb.gov.uk. You can request information about our policy on employing ex-offenders and our code of practice from any of our hospitals or business units if you are invited to interview.

Spire Healthcare will use the information you provide when applying for jobs for recruitment and selection purposes which will include collating general statistical data, and for employment purposes in respect of successful candidates.

The information you give to us will be kept confidential and will only be disclosed to third parties where it is necessary in considering your application, or is required by law.

On considering the application we may seek information from other parties, such as academia, referees and publicly available sources. This data will also remain confidential.

We may use the information we gather and/or receive about you to investigate and prevent unlawful activity or activity which threatens our network, or otherwise jeopardises the provision of this recruitment system and we may disclose such information to third parties (such as the police) for these purposes.

Your account will remain active unless you write to us to remove your details. Alternatively, accounts that are not activated (i.e. you do not log in to your account) for 18 months will be deleted along with all information associated with your portfolio and any applications to vacancies.
