As a pivotal member of our team, our pharmacists provide advice on the appropriate use of medicines to all our health and care professionals, playing a vital and respected role within our hospitals. With exposure to a broad range of both chronic and acute conditions, you will maintain a high level of knowledge on a wide variety of drugs, care pathways and risks.
Many of our hospitals provide oncology services, where our pharmacy staff are key to providing chemotherapy services for our patients – with five of our hospitals having their own chemotherapy preparation isolator. In addition, many hospitals offer bariatric and cardiac services where you may be given the opportunity to complete further specialist training in these areas.
