Physiotherapists provide physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients. You will play a vital role in helping patients to regain full use and mobility following a clinical procedure. You will work closely with the theatre and nursing staff to understand the patient’s needs and agree a care plan based on these. Physiotherapy often starts only a few hours after surgery and you will need excellent interpersonal skills to encourage and support patients to collaborate with you on their treatment. You will also deliver out patient treatment after surgery or on referral from a GP in our well equipped treatment rooms.
