IVF Scotland is a private fertility treatment centre that opened in 2010 in Edinburgh. The centre is based in a bespoke unit at Spire Shawfair Park Hospital in the south of the city. Our ethos is based on providing the best possible outcomes for patients. Our team of fertility consultants and specialists use leading edge treatments and techniques, with state-of-the-art technology to provide a broad range of fertility investigations, diagnoses and treatments.

Our service
We offer expert fertility assessment and treatment to individuals and couples, whether single, same-sex, or married. Our service is regulated by the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) - the UK's independent fertility regulator - as set out by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act (1990).
Our bespoke approach to care and treatment ensures that every patient will have one (with a maximum of two) embryologists assigned to their treatment. This guarantees that our staff thoroughly know and understand your medical history and clinical needs, better enabling us to tailor your fertility treatment for the best outcome for you.
Treatments costs and pricing are designed to be as clear and transparent as possible, with a fixed price for treatment available in advance to offer peace of mind during treatment.
How to access our service
Patients can self-refer for private fertility treatment or can ask their GP to refer them to IVF Scotland. IVF Scotland has no waiting times for fertility treatment, so patients can access consultant advice, assessment and treatment when they need it. As fertility treatment can be an emotionally and physically stressful time for patients and their families, support services including counselling and a support network group are available to lend a helping hand at any stage of your treatment pathway.
