Professional profile:
I qualified in medicine in Athens and I then moved to the UK where I started and completed all my training in General Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I became accredited in 2004 after finishing the South West Thames rotation scheme. During my training I spent an extra year as a Fellow in Minimal Access Surgery in Worthing. After becoming a specialist, I completed a 3 years Sub speciality training programme in Gynaecological Oncology at Guilford and Middlesbrough. I have considerable experience in surgical gynaecology for benign and malignant diseases. My principal areas of expertise are in gynaecological cancer care, colposcopy and laparoscopic/ hysteroscopic techniques. Other areas of expertise include investigation of pelvic pain, post menopausal bleeding, menopause and management of heavy periods. I am a registered specialist in gynaecology and sub specialist in gynaecological oncology by the UK General Medical Council. I hold certification in laparoscopic surgery and gynaecological ultrasound from RCOG and colposcopy certification by the BSCCP.
