Mr Niloy Roy commenced working at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust 1st February 2004 as a consultant in trauma and orthopaedics.

Mr Roy graduated from India and obtained MS (orthopaedics) in 1991 following that he completed SpR training in orthopaedics in the Northwest and Yorkshire region. His final year of SpR training was at Hull. During his training he developed an interest in upper limb surgery and following completion of training he worked as Upper Limb Fellow at Wrightington Hospital (home of the Charnley hip replacement) for one year. He is proud to be part of the team, which was awarded Surgical Team of the year 2004 (Hospital Doctor).

He has broad experience in general orthopaedics but is especially interested in upper limb trauma and elective surgery. He has special interest in rheumatoid upper limb surgery.

He is available for referral of upper limb problems including shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist including joint replacement.
Personal profile:
His wife Ann is a Consultant Histopathologist and they have twin daughters.His hobbies include photography and he is planning to take up golf in the future.
