After my basic ophthalmic training at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield (1992-1994) I completed my higher specialist training in ophthalmology at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (1994-1999) to attain CCST. After that I did an intensive 18 month vitreo-retinal fellowship in Bristol in both medical and surgical retinal disorders.
I came to Hull in 2001 as a Consultant Ophthalmologist and since then I am practising General Ophthalmology with special interest in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the vitreous and retina. I have vast experience in small incision cataract surgery.
At Spire Hull and East Yorkshire Hospital I offer to treat general ophthalmic problems with special interest in cataract surgery and vitreo retinal disorders including diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular degeneration and macular holes.
