    Professional profile:
    I became a Consultant in Hull in 1997 after completing training at the Mayo Clinic (USA) and Royal Brompton Hospital (London) under Sir Magdi Yacoub.

    I am a specialist surgeon in the treatment of coronary artery disease and have helped to develop and introduce off-pump beating heart surgery into Yorkshire.

    My results are good with one of the lowest mortality rates in Europe.
