Mrs Butter - cataract surgery

Mrs Butter from Hutton, Brentwood, Essex had two cataract operations in early 2009. Following her surgery, carried out by consultant ophthalmologist Mr Russell V Pearson, Mrs Butter contacted Spire Hartswood Hospital thanking the staff. Here is an extract from her letter...

"I felt I had to put pen to paper to thank you and all your staff at Spire Hartswood Hospital, it was so nice to be treated as a person and not as a hospital patient number.

On the two occasions I visited for cataract operations from the time I entered the reception I was greeted in a friendly manner and thereafter with kindness and professional care until the time I left. I would like you to know it was greatly appreciated, please convey this to your consultant and medical teams."
