Paul Chatrath graduated from Cambridge University and The London Hospital Medical College with distinctions in three subjects and Proxime Accessit to the University of London Gold Medal.

He completed his higher surgical training in ENT Surgery in London and now works as a consultant ENT surgeon with Barking Havering & Redbridge Hospitals NHS Trust - based at King George Hospital in Goodmayes and at Queen's Hospital in Romford, Essex.

During his final years of training, Mr Chatrath completed a higher research degree (MD) in the diagnosis of benign versus malignant laryngeal pathology. He was also awarded the Lionel College & New York Travelling Fellowships by the Royal College of Surgeons, and travel grants by the Royal Society of Medicine and the Journal of Laryngology & Otology to pursue further training in specialist units in Chicago and Amsterdam.

Private ENT consultations, investigations and surgical treatment

Paul Chatrath's approach to private practice reflects his NHS work. He offers a professional, sympathetic service, and strives to give the best possible quality of care to his patients.

Although he manages all general ENT conditions, Mr Chatrath's specialist interests include nose and sinus problems, allergy, cosmetic deformities, children's ENT disorders, voice problems and snoring. Mr Chatrath offers one of the newest ENT procedures, balloon sinuplasty, to help patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps. He also offers the recently-introduced Breathe-Implant to treat nasal valve collapse. In addition, for patients with snoring problems, Paul Chatrath offers radiofrequency procedures to the soft palate and tongue base (uvulo-palatoplasty). These procedures are available at both Spire Hartswood and Spire Roding hospitals in Essex. 

Facial plastic surgery and non-surgical treatments for the face

Paul Chatrath also has an interest in facial plastic surgery and is a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. In addition to performing various facial plastic surgical procedures, for example nose reshaping (rhinoplasty) and ear pinning, he also offers advice and consultations for non-surgical facial treatments including anti-wrinkle injections and chemical peels for facial rejuvenation. 

Personal profile:
I am married and live locally. I am fortunate to have three lovely girls (wife included) and enjoy the life that Essex offers. My non-clinical interests include collecting wine, Greek and Indian cooking and using my rowing machine to try and keep fit.
