Mr Odhran Shelley is a consultant plastic surgeon at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex. He offers private plastic surgery including breast reconstruction surgery and cosmetic surgery in our clean and comfortable private hospital.
Odhran Shelley qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1993 and, following higher surgical training, he became a Fellow of the College of Surgeons in 1997.
He trained in plastic surgery in Dublin and Glasgow before undertaking two years research at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA, from where he received the John A Mannick Research Award. He was also awarded the John Calder prize following presentation of his research to the British Association of Plastic Surgeons in 2001 (now the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons).
Odhran subsequently completed six years training at Canniesburn Plastic Surgery unit in Scotland and undertook fellowships including burn reconstruction, breast reconstruction and microsurgery, and aesthetic (cosmetic) plastic surgery.
He has also been awarded scholarships from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.
Odhran Shelley’s interests include burn reconstruction and breast reconstruction following or at the same time as breast cancer surgery. He also offers a range of cosmetic surgery procedures.
Odhran is also involved in plastic surgery training in developing countries.
