Mr Nicholas Ker is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Spire Hartswood hospital in Brentwood, Essex, offering back surgery, hip and knee surgery and general orthopaedic surgery in our clean and comfortable private hospital.
Nicholas Ker qualified at London University (Middlesex Hospital) and underwent an orthopaedic training rotation at Westminster, University College and Whittington Hospitals between 1984 and 1988.He became a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 1988 and now works solely in private practice.Mr Ker has a broad training in orthopaedics and has developed a special interest in joint replacement of the lower limb, especially revision hip arthroplasty and sports injuries. He performs a large number of lower limb arthroscopies, ligament reconstruction of the knee and also undertakes decompressive back surgery.
