Mr David St J.Collier is a consultant breast surgeon at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex, offering private breast care in our clean and comfortable private hospital.
After qualifying at Guy’s Hospital, London, Mr Collier’s higher surgical training was undertaken at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. He has been a consultant surgeon for fifteen years and has specialised in the management of breast disease during that time. Mr Collier has well-established, twice weekly clinics at Spire Hartswood Hospital where he has practised since 1994; he is registered with all major insurers.
Mr Collier’s practice is devoted entirely to the diagnosis and management of breast disease. His clinics at the Spire Hartswood Hospital are 'rapid diagnostic clinics' with a consultant breast radiologist always available so that investigations are performed on your first visit and your preliminary results given to you.
His extensive expertise allows Mr Collier to offer the full range of surgical procedures for the management of breast disease. Mr Collier has developed new techniques of immediate breast reconstruction which optimise cosmetic outcome after mastectomy, and these results have been published in Oncological and Plastic Surgery journals in the UK, Europe and the USA. He has also published widely in many other medical and scientific journals.
