Mr Arikoge Ogedegbe is a consultant general and oncoplastic breast surgeon at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex and Spire Roding private hospital in Redbridge, Essex, offering general and breast surgery in our clean and comfortable hospitals.
Breast surgery
As an oncoplastic breast surgeon, Mr Ogedegbe is able to offer immediate reconstruction following mastectomy for breast cancer.
The national Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction Audit* confirmed the take up of reconstructive surgery is low. Several factors account for this including information, awareness and availability of skilled surgeons. Commenting on the Audit, Mr Ogedegbe said "Breast cancer diagnosis is increasing with more young and fit women been affected with the disease. We now live in an era where we are extremely concious about our body image. All women being treated should ask their surgeon or breast care nurse about reconstructive surgery."
