Dr Eltayeb Marouf is a consultant endocrinologist at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex, offering private care for endocrine problems, including thyroid and parathyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome in our clean and comfortable private hospital.
Dr Eltayeb Marouf trained in a professorial unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a House Physician and House Surgeon before joining the senior house officer rotation in general medicine in Kettering General Hospital for two years. Dr Marouf then worked as a registrar in general medicine, diabetes and endocrinology at the Royal Free Hospital, London, and the North Middlesex Hospital, London, gaining experience in diabetes, endocrinology, general medicine and thyroid disease.Dr Marouf then moved to Birmingham where he worked at Birmingham teaching hospitals as a Senior Registrar in general medicine, chest medicine, care of the elderly and diabetes - and consolidated previous experience in general and diabetic medicine.As Consultant Physician in diabetes and endocrinology at Queen's Hospital, Romford, Dr Eltayeb Marouf mainly looked after patients with general medical problems and, as a sub-specialty, looked after patients with diabetes (type 1 and type 2). Dr Marouf is a DAFNE certified consultant (dose adjustment for normal eating). Dr Marouf also looks after patients with endocrine problems, including thyroid disease, parathyroid, polycystic ovary syndrome and other general endocrine problems. Dr Eltayeb Marouf is an examiner for PACES (Royal College of Physicians of London).
