I am a Chartered Psychologist and I specialise in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). However, being a psychologist I am trained in different therapeutic approaches and I am flexible to the client's needs. My philosophy is “what best works for the patient”. I also use mindfulness in my sessions.
I previously worked at the Priory Hospital, North London, where I practiced both individual and group therapies. I also co-ordinated the CBT team of therapists, where I managed the staff, aided in increasing and improving the services, and dealt with patient care. In addition, I worked at the Royal Free Hospital within the Eating Disorders Unit.
I have been a guest lecturer at Greenwich University and run seminars on CBT, stress management & vicarious truamatisation. I have also done media training and worked with the BBC.
The following are disorders and problems I treat; eating disorders (ie: anorexia, bulimia, obesity), depression, anxiety disorders (ie: worry, panic attacks), phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anger management, self-harm (ie: cutting, picking, or destructive behaviours), low self-esteem, post-natal depression, perfectionism, stress management, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I work with individuals from the age of 16 upwards.
