Mr M Saleemi – Consultant Urologist
Mr Saleemi obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School in 1990. Having completed his pre-registration house officer jobs he went on to St Peters’ Hospital Chertsey for his surgical training and in 1995 he completed the FRCS ( London) examination. Subsequently Mr Saleemi commenced a five year Specialist Registrar training rotation based at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals. During the second and third years of this programme he completed an MSc in Urology at University College London. Mr Saleemi’s specialist training finished in July 2002 and he was appointed as a consultant at Luton and Dunstable Hospital on 1st December 2002. Since this appointment he has set up one stop prostate assessment clinics and haematuria clinics. Mr Saleemi has a special interest in bladder cancer and renal calculus disease.
Personal profile:
Mr Saleemi has a life long interest in cricket and loves watching and playing the sport. He is currently the captain of the Luton and Dunstable Hospital Consultants' team. He also has a keen interest in rugby and football and enjoys travelling and reading.
