I qualified in Medicine from Pisa University, Italy in 1990 and I trained in Ophthalmology at Ferrara University, Italy. After moving to the UK I undertook a research fellowship at St. Thomas's Hospital, London on quality of vision and outcomes in laser refractive surgery. I then undertook two clinical fellowships in cornea, external eye disorders and refractive surgery at The Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at The Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington though I live in St. Albans with my family.
Personal profile:
I am married with two children. I love travelling and sports including skiing, sailing and tennis. I enjoy listening to classical music and jazz.
