Mr Sherman completed his undergraduate training at King's College Hospital Dental School and Manchester University Medical School. His higher surgical training was undertaken at Guildford, Roehampton, Guy's, Addenbrooke's and Ipswich Hospitals. Mr Sherman obtained clinical fellowship attachments at UCSF, San Francisco and Frankfurt.

Mr Sherman's main sub-specialty interest is all aspects of salivary gland disease, having been trained by some national experts in this field. Alongside his radiological colleagues, Mr Sherman initiated a salivary gland service at the QEII Hospital in Welywn Garden City, which utilises modern minimally invasive techniques for calculi, kinks and strictures, removing the need for conventional surgery where possible.

Mr Sherman is a consultant at Luton and Dunstable Hospital and QEII Hospital, Welwyn Garden City. He provides a comprehensive oral and maxillofacial service including dento-alveolar surgery, facial trauma & deformity and facial skin lesions.

At Spire Harpenden, Mr Sherman provides a general oral and maxillofacial service encompassing surgical dentistry and oral medicine.

Mr Sherman is married to a dental surgeon he met whilst undertaking higher surgical training at Guy's Hospital and has two daughters.

As well as enjoying most types of music, Mr Sherman enjoys classic Hollywood history and movies, skiing, tennis, golf and cycling. Having recently moved into the area, he has not had much time for his hobbies, but as a result has become rather proficient in DIY!
