I trained in urological surgery in South Africa before completing further higher specialist training at centres in the UK.

I received training in radical perineal prostatectomy at Duke University Medical Centre in 1995 and in 1999 received a British Urological Foundation Travelling Fellowship to The Health Science Centre, University of Texas in San Antonio to develop this practice further.

I was appointed as Consultant at the Lister Hospital in 1996. My special interests include radical perineal prostatectomy, bladder replacement surgery for bladder cancer and minimally invasive surgery for female stress incontinence using the TVT sling.

I am a keen golfer and cricketer although time no longer allows much of the latter. My hobbies include PCs and reading spy thrillers for escapism while sipping New World wines!
