Mr Saleh has published scientific articles on many areas relating to the eyelid and surrounding tissue including tumours, reconstruction, trauma, lumps, malposition, investigations and surgery.He is the primary investigator for ongoing studies investigating novel diagnostic methods in evaluation of watery eyes.He is the lead on a National Collaboration investigating tumours of the eyelid and surrounding tissues
Mr Saleh is the regional lead for the Intraocular Lens Study Group (a multicentre collaboration) currently running the Multifocal IOL trial.He is the UK lead on the International Council of Ophthalmology’s Cataract Assessment Taskforce through which he has worked in developing cataract tools being adopted in many parts of the worldHe is the primary investigator in the International Simulation Study for virtual reality cataract surgical training. Mr Saleh heads up several teams investigating novel technologies relating to eye surgery and has received grants for work on eyelid surgery, cataract surgery, general ophthalmology amongst others.

Mr Saleh is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital based at the Bedford Unit and is the Cataract Surgical Lead. He has an honorary contract with the Luton and Dunstable Hospital and draws regional referrals for watery eyes, eyelid, cancer and cosmetic work. He undertakes intraocular refractive work with premium IOLs.
Mr Saleh qualified in Medicine from Imperial College, London and underwent basic specialist training in Ophthalmology in the London and the East Anglia Regions before completing his higher specialist training at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He was awarded the Gold Medal as the most distinguished candidate for the clinical and surgical ophthalmic Fellowship Examination. During his undergraduate studies he was awarded the highest first class distinction for his BSc.Mr Saleh undertook an extended subspeciality fellowship in oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital focusing on conditions such as lid lumps, tumours and malpositions, watery eyes and lacrimal problems along with orbitofacial cosmetic surgery and rejuvenation. Mr Saleh grew up in the Herts and Beds area and continues to live locally. He has a keen interest in sport including rugby, tennis and swimming and has a longstanding involvement in astrophysics and cosmology having been published by NASA’s health portal.
