Mr. Waldock trained at Nottingham University Medical School where he obtained both a BMedSci (Hons) degree and his medical degree.

He has undertaken the majority of his ophthalmic training at Bristol Eye Hospital. Having completed his general ophthalmic training, he obtained sub-specialty skills through fellowships in Glaucoma and Corneal / Ocular Surface Disease.

Mr. Waldock has complemented his clinical training by obtaining a post-graduate doctorate (MD) on the evaluation of digital imaging instruments used in the early detection of glaucoma. He has also published on many aspects of the early diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, as well as on corneal transplantation and ophthalmic surgical instrumentation.

He became a Consultant at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital in 2001 and provides a general ophthalmic service including cataract surgery, as well as sub-specialist clinics in glaucoma and corneal / external eye disease.

He has a keen interest in the education and training of future Ophthalmic surgeons and is currently the Training Programme Director for Ophthalmology in the East of England Deanery, as well as being a trainer on the Microsurgical Skills Course at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
At Spire Harpenden Hospital, Mr Waldock offers a comprehensive ophthalmic service including the treatment of cataract, glaucoma and conreal/external eye disease.
