Dr Rajeev Kumar graduated from Delhi University (India) in 1993 and undertook his specialist training in Eastern Deanery (Cambridge rotation). During his career he has worked at professorial units at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (Glasgow), Addenbrooke's Hospital (Cambridge), Luton and Dunstable Hospital and QE2 hospital in Welwyn Garden City.
His clinical practice includes the management of a wide range of endocrine disorders including management type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypoglycaemia, insulin pumps, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disorders, electrolyte disturbances, osteoporosis and general internal medical conditions. He also runs a young adult diabetes clinic.
Dr Kumar has been a consultant since 2008, initially at Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and moved to Bedford Hospital in February 2010. He has published several papers in the fields of diabetes.
Dr Kumar can understand Hindi, Urdu, Gujrati and Punjabi.
