Dr. Mei-Lin Ah-See is a Consultant in Clinical Oncology specialising in the treatment of Breast Cancer at Spire Harpenden Hospital and the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre with sessions at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. She treats patients with Breast Cancer with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine therapy and biological therapies.
She graduated from Cambridge University in 1993 and was awarded her MD from the University of London in 2006 for her thesis entitled “The Vascular Effects of Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Primary Breast Cancer”. Her research project led her to being awarded “Young Investigator of the Year” by the British Oncology Association in 2004 and, in the same year, she received a Merit Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology for her research work.
As well as her daily clinical work, Dr Ah-See has an active role in Clinical Breast Cancer trials within the Mount Vernon Cancer Network and is the local Principle Investigator and Lead Clinician for all the Breast Cancer Research trials at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. She is Lead Clinician for Breast Cancer Radiotherapy within the Mount Vernon Cancer Network.
Dr Ah-See is kept busy outside of work by her two young boys but also enjoys running, skiing, reading and cinema.
