She qualified from the Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1991 and completed her dermatology training at the Professorial Unit of Dermatology, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Dr De Silva has a particular interest in the skin conditions of children and had an Honorary Consultant position at the Great Ormond Street Hospital, with whom she has had close links for 9 years.
She recognises the considerable impact that skin disease has on patients and hopes to bring compassion and empathy to their care.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, walking, cycling and entertaining with her husband and two young boys.
